GKN Garden Grove - Evacuation Orders Lifted

We are happy to report that all evacuation orders related to the GKN Aerospace chemical tank incident have been lifted as of Tuesday evening. You are now free to return to your home. There is still a small operational exclusion zone around the tank for hazmat crews, and Western Ave. between Chapman Ave. and Garden Grove Blvd. remains closed, but the City is reporting that no residents are affected by that exclusion zone. 

We will continue to monitor the remaining cleanup and investigation and will notify you of any important developments.

Reminder

We are advising everyone to please keep all receipts and documentation related to your evacuation:

• hotel stays

• meals

• gas

• pet boarding

• lost wages

• medical visits

• photos of any property concerns

These will be important to your claim.

Finally, while the immediate crisis situation appears to be over, we intend to hold GKN accountable for the disruption and harm it has caused to the community.  We will be posting regular updates over the coming days and weeks regarding our pending lawsuit, and to keep you apprised of your legal options.
